Understand Your Skin Types
Dry Skin
How do I know if I have dry skin?
Not to be confused with dehydrated skin types, dry skin types refer to individual with skin that lack the ability to produce oil naturally which results in the skin incapability to retain moisture naturally. Dry skin types are observed to have flaky skin or prominent fine lines. When the basic foundations of the skin have weakened and loses the ability to hold, the skin ages at a much faster rate.
What should dry skin types look out for?
Care for dry skin types is largely similar to caring for dehydrated skin, except that more oil-based and heavy-duty products are involved. Matured skin and ageing products are often designed to cater for dry skin, usually from the age of 35 and above the skin stops producing oil and ceramides naturally and begins to age. The individual with dry skin types can slow down the process of ageing by supplementing the skin with these ingredients.
